Don'T Get Hooked Poem by CHERYL winter

Don'T Get Hooked

Young ones!
Don't get hooked!
For those hooked on drugs
They live like rats
Crawling on their bellies
And their backs!
Their existence is a fiery hell
The slip away into a dark, deep well!
Each day
From dawn to dusk
In a search that's wild and long
They hunt in bins for food.
And when it's night
Like rats
With human face and form
From street to street they roam.
Then drained and worn
They sleep on paves till morn!
Young ones!
Don't sniff, don't shoot,
Don't smoke!
Avoid all drugs and don't get hooked!
