Do You Believe? Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Do You Believe?

Do you believe someone will save?
Someone like you and me
From the dead; cremation or grave
Can rise, to Heaven free

For this reason, life’s King on high
Abandoned Heaven’s throne
Was crucified, as a Lamb to die
For mortal flesh and bone

For criminals, for lawbreakers
For judges for police
For midwives and undertakers
From hell He will release

Do you believe devils exist?
When the ice cold hands of death
When holding tight, though fatally kissed
God gives eternal breath

Do you believe, devils will seize us
There burning fate to share
Through a silent prayer to Jesus
Help is everywhere

For liars, killers, thieves for cheats
Molesters, far and wide
Rapists, burglars, begging deadbeats
For all! ! ! Christ Jesus died

Regardless, whatever our shame
How evil was your crime
Accept God’s grace, in Jesus’ name
Repent, while still there’s time

God guarantees His living Son
Will take you in His hand
With victory and life’s crown won
We’ll enter The Promised Land…..
