Do Not Disturb Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Do Not Disturb

Don't bother waking me up in the morn
For I think I will sleep in the morrow
Anyway this body is old and worn
And there's no time left for me to borrow

Do not disturb and turn off the alarm
There is no need for this rooster to crow
A couple more moments will do no harm
A little break from the pantomime show

Light fades into darkness and so do I
An ocean of tranquility waits
The nightmares reflected in this minds eye
Will now hopefully commence to abate

So don't forget the lights before you leave
I'm just taking a nap no need to grieve
