Do Not Cry Poem by Carolyn Ford Witt

Do Not Cry

Do not stand by my grave and cry
Do not mourn where my body does lie
For you must know that my spirit can't die
So do not stand by my grave and cry.

My Lord has built my Home in the sky
Away from the warring, Away from the lies
So do not stand by my grave and cry
That's only the place where my body does lie

Rejoice for the life that I did live.
Ponder the good that my life did give.
Remember the faith that I left for all
And know that I followed my Savior's call.

So do not stand by my grave and cry
Do not mourn me for my Spirit did not die,
It lives so strong with my God on high.
Remember always, the Spirit does not die!
