Divine Grace Poem by Jacson Gelato

Divine Grace

I walked tall
without fear or courage;
I was just walking....
on my right
I saw school children,
on my left
I saw a Priest,
behind me I heard
a beggar asking me for alms,
in front of me
I saw God.
I left my knowledge
for the school children
to learn from it,
I asked the Priest
where was God
and he pointed a finger ahead;
but as I had heard
the beggar behind me
asking for alms
I gave him my purse, my shoes
and everything I could discard;
for in front of me was God.
I followed and found
all that what I wanted to find.
With divine grace
I returned back
and kept walking endlessly.
No one knew
where I had been
the divine grace
was within me
empowering me to walk on.
