Distant Love
She lives so far away,
On a shore where a different ocean sprays
An island so different from this land
Yet more enticing for me to leave and make a stand
For as long as she is there by my side
I never fear the change in tide
Home is where we are happiest
And with her I am my best.
Together forever in life, and in rest.
