When you talk with a person
Who knows all the answers
The discussion is over
Before words begin.
All you can see is a friendly glance
You reply with a nod and a grin.
But to sit beside someone
Who gives 'food for thought'
Interest ensues and joy enters in.
Your mind and heart start to dance
For a little friendly conversation
Is a gift that means everything.
