Die, Let Yourself Be Free Poem by Nicky Turner

Die, Let Yourself Be Free

I once knew a love I thought I could not live without
Til this day that love is still out there, I’m just not the fool who wears it on my sleeve
When that love was doomed I held on, kept a tight grip on it
Now all I have to show for it is a bloody hand
A missing heart and the memories that never fade
How a love so pure and innocent died, due to a third party member
Loves impossible, all it brings is heartache
People claim a heart so young heals fast, do they realise
A heart that’s missing can not be healed no matter how long time is
Tears still fall, for this lost one
Fear of remembering, doomed not to forget
Life’s complicated; love is just another side, of this little charade
Try to impress the world, forget it, you can’t win
You’re always disappointing someone, mainly your self-esteem
Wince at change, scream at the past, and die in the present, live in the future
Make up your life, it can’t be this.
It can’t be this bad
Lie to yourself this isn’t your life
Try to be someone your not in order to live by others standards
Bleed let it flow, never stop the blood, let it all go
Rich, heavy, deep red, tortures cries lets die
Die for that love
Die for the pain
Die for the past
Die for the people hurting you
Die for me, show me the hurt inside
Die for you; you can’t win not in this life not in yours and not in mine
Die, death is all around, just die, die, die
Cry for your death, let yourself be free.
