Depression Poem by Lacie Hebert

Depression

Rating: 5.0

In the depths of darkness, where shadows reside,
A silent battle wages, deep inside.
A heavy weight upon the soul, it bears,
A haunting presence, consuming all cares.

Depression, a relentless, relentless foe,
Its grip so tight, it won't let go.
It whispers lies, in the depths of despair,
Filling the mind with anguish and wear.

A cloud of sadness, that obscures the light,
Dulling the colors, stealing the fight.
It drains the joy, the laughter, the glee,
Leaving behind a hollow, empty plea.

But listen closely, for there is hope,
A flicker of light, a way to cope.
Reach out your hand, let others in,
For in connection, healing begins.

Speak your truth, let your voice be heard,
Release the pain, let it be stirred.
For in vulnerability, strength is found,
A path to healing, on solid ground.

Seek the beauty, in the simplest of things,
A gentle breeze, the song a bird sings.
Embrace the moments, both big and small,
For they hold the power to heal us all.

Know that you're not alone, in this fight,
There are others who understand the plight.
Together, we'll rise, like a phoenix from the ash,
Reclaiming our lives, with courage and a dash.

Depression may linger, but it won't define,
The strength within us, the will to shine.
Hold on, dear soul, for brighter days will come,
And in the depths of darkness, we'll find the sun.
