Demon Tree Poem by Ima Ryma

Demon Tree

It became known as demon tree,
As it loomed large on holy ground,
Causing the Church perplexity,
Branching ugly in sight and sound.
Two renowned exorcist priests came
To try to save the hellish wood,
To play with skill the ancient game
Played 'twixt and 'tween evil and good.
The priests beneath the tree did pray,
Doing their best to exorcise.
Their efforts went on night and day.
The outcome came as a surprise.

All of the hell in the tree ceased.
Demons left and entered each priest.
