Democracy And Poetry. Poem by Sandra Feldman

Democracy And Poetry.

Rating: 5.0

Democracy is
The Peoples'
Poetry,
And Poetry is
Democratic,
Both are
Free for all,
To read, enjoy
And to respect.

But not All
Understand,
The sincerity
And the responsibility
They both carry,
Hand in hand
That if betrayed
Can become
A disguised
Form of Evil,
And destroy, individuals,
As well as
Their, sovereign lands.

Poetry must and always will be in accordance with the tenets of democracy. It must be for all with utmost sincerity and respect. Poetry devoid of these attributes is no poetry at all.

Poetry fosters democracy as it makes the demagogues to raise their eyes and ears to listen and read. But i hear you poetry can be used to spread hate, bigotry etc in the guise of freedom and then it becomes bad. Good poem all round. Thanks for sharing.
