Defender Of The Crown Poem by Pierre Rausch

Defender Of The Crown

Her breathing grow still beneath
Yets she was still a child
Then she went into the bathroom
Then she‘d hide away
No Bible in play
Nor in the same hour
Just the protagonists in sight
Parable and allegory
The Tory way of life
For a few seconds
Then the men in charge
That say the right thing at the right time
It's so wonderful
Upon the supposition of a meaning
Upon the supposition of effort
Then I'm gonna improvise the comment
What when the gas climbs up
What when the rockets explode
Then I'm gonna live forever
A sand-colored police cap
Then we are gonna be nice
Then that straight way
Then the honeymoon
As the motor runs
