Deep Poem by Sixtus Osim

Deep

Rating: 4.3

One day I caught a little bird,
And brought it home into a nest,
Then gave it some corn and rose bud,
Yet, away it flew to the west.

Then I went out, bought a fair ram
And made beautiful pen for it
But then, the ram wanted a lamp
Hence it ran away to the east,

I went and caught a butterfly
Then tendered yellow rose for it,
But it wanted to always fly,
Hence I began to wonder a bit;

And awhile, I went out again
And caught a dreadful owl, in shame,
Brought it home and kept on a tree,
Owl admired it and did not flee,

No wonder my dad had ten wives,
The most beautiful ones awhile
Became the ugliest in the world
While the ugliest one with a beautiful heart,
Became the most beautiful in the world
Who clung on to my dad
Till death threw them apart;
And hence the most beautiful one
Has the most beautiful heart,
So this world is so deep to understand.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The Women world is very difficult to understand. It takes a lot of wisdom to keep a wife because a woman sometimes is full of flaws and vagaries. Besides, you never can tell through appearance who a nagging wife or congenial wife is.... My poem also portrays how difficult it is to make a woman to feel gratified.
