Dedication To Horatio Nelson Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Dedication To Horatio Nelson

Rating: 5.0

'England expects that
every man will do his duty'

He who goes down to the sea in ships
One was Horatio Nelson...
Admiral famous, Officer bold
Loved by Lady Hamiton but
Feared madly by the foe!
This was Viscount Horatio Nelson.
Wounded in battle, he died graciously
With those famous last words:
'Kiss Me Hardy'
His unique restored ship, HMS Victory
Can be seen where it sleeps,
Near the shores of the Deep in
Hampshire's Old Portsmouth Harbour.

The body of Horatio Nelson
is buried at St. Paul's Cathedral
And God Rest His Soul.
