Deceived Poem by Mia Valenti

Deceived

Rating: 5.0

I don’t really know you
I don’t really trust you
What frightens me the most
Is the reality of the hurt you can do to the ones you love

You say one thing and mean another
You don’t even know what the meaning of two people, loving each other

I guess I’ll never know
Though the sun will shine upon my face
And the rain drops I will still feel upon my grace
The days will either get longer or shorter
And in time I know I will get stronger

You will become a memory
Of someone I thought you used to be
Someone you created yourself
Someone who gave me a lot of misery

I know in time my heart will heal
For you to me were never real.

Nice poem, Mia. I like the decision to move on with life after disappointment. Well written. Thanks Best wishes Richard

In this poem there's something nostalgic and idealized, however its inspiration is sincere and its style impeccable.
