Decadence...
Going
Downhill
Very fast!
Not really
Having,
Quite
A blast,
With Deep
Incompetence,
Bad function
Comes
Destruction,
We may not
Last,
Empires crumble
S0, why not
US?
A very keen observation expressed in powerful poetic expressions.
So true. So true. Deep incompetence will always compromise the future of a country and the lives of people. State of deterioration is always a feature of incompetence.
During such times, we poets must be a beacon to others. They expect it! And deserve it! And the US has always been a beacon! Excellent poem, Sandra!
