Death's River Poem by janice etienne

Death's River

Deep beneath the river of stillness in my head
Ly's whispers of the anonymous dead
the predators of my rage thirst and disturbs the clearness of the lost curse
i stay chanting my way back to peacefulness
if it may come

in my world of silence i whisper sweet bitter words
that flee with a blister
their in my world of waters their is no clarity
the death that i drown through
how laughter seems to be so foggy
a time where life would take the best of me

but i will never surrender the fight that am under
grasping for a breath i seek nearly moments in my death

my lifeless body wonders for a stable ground
their beneath the waters i leave without a sound
