Death's Final Kiss Poem by Andrew Degen

Death's Final Kiss

Rating: 4.0

My heart is weak
its beating ceases
as I walk alone
in this once unforgotten forest
lost within
like those before me
searching for truths
but to find only tales
of what might be
and what could be
if only it were true
depression comes upon me
as my life turns
shuns me away
and takes anew
what I cannot embrace
for the weakness within me
unforgiven
unforsaken
her heart see tortures
which should not be endured
by her
by me
or those who wish happiness within their souls
as they weep
for death's final kiss
