Death Is Not A Word Poem by Stevie Hogendoorn

Death Is Not A Word

Death is a hollow word with a shallow meaning
It’s absent in the dictionary that contain my words
I speak of life after life for it is the body that is ceasing
Spirits will always travel between its realm and the earth

The intention to guide us to love and inspiration will remain
For it’s love and creation fuelling mind, body and soul
It’s the eternal essence on which all energies maintain
And the bed in which we sleep where all truth will unfold

So therefore we cannot die and will not sleep forever
We live on, not only in spirit but through memories as well
A soothing thought to me that loved ones stay together
Standing by when we arrive after leaving our physical motel
