Death In The Present Poem by Christopher Fladd

Death In The Present

Death is always history,
but when it's yours it's future,
and pray it not be now.

Death is always mystery
and when it's not it's torture,
the where, the when and how.

So with this live forever,
until the closing flower
of your spirit takes its bow.
