Dear, Death Poem by Katellyne Baker

Dear, Death

Rating: 4.5

Dear, Death...
It's been a while since we've talked face to face,
but no need to rush your pace.
I been stuck here in this same place,
it has also been a while since i went for the chase.

It seems like your in my dreams,
and everywhere i go.
No matter where i am. You, i will always know.

Sorry I've missed your meeting,
i was out of town.
Forever and now, will i always remember your frown.

I apologize when you wanted me to sell my soul,
and i told you it wasn't for sale...
For someone has already claimed it.
You said you would visit him,
so i begged and i cried
until you gave in, and took my side.

I thanked you for your understanding,
when no one else would,
but i won't sell my soul...
Even if i could.
