Dear Daughter Poem by Tharindu Atukorala

Dear Daughter

Where do I start, what do I say
You just took my breath away
Captivating my heart and soul
You've become my queen
My life, my world, my universe
You will always be my baby girl
Unicorns, rainbows, fairies and elves
Magical and mystical, this is your world
Breathe in your dreams,
rewrite the stars
Love with conviction,
Aid with your heart
Thank you for choosing me as your mum
An honour I treasure, I will not let you down
