Daywalker Poem by JJ Evendon

Daywalker

I am a 'daywalker', not a 'daydreamer',
for the sun is my guiding star.
My footsteps are light - like clear mountain air.
My eyes bright with life.
I see what there is to see
and what I see sees me,
I'm never alone.
Air nourishes all what I consider to be life,
giving impetus to my thoughts
to an otherwise nonsensical presence.
My mind seeks its understanding
discounting fairies amongst dragons.
what is left?
Is it right?
My shadow always a companion.
I venture forwards, never back.
I am a 'daywalker'
only a 'daywalker' not a 'daydreamer'!
