Days Drift Poem by William Waterway

Days Drift

waves of bird song disperse
molecules
invisible
Once born – is forever
Akasha
Memory that captures our
moments
which we often give
significance
For in our hearts and minds
we feel
private pleasure of
our importance
As though there is meaning in our
existence
As though our journey has
relevance
As though this place in space
perceived through senses and thought
is ours to embrace within reach of
being
as we seek affinity
within our chosen
society
so we may see ourselves
in the reflection of our defined
reality
How long will our health hold?
How long will we feel meaning in
our daily awakening?
How long before our physical
dissolves into
metaphysical?
As we do our best to cope
our collected composition
slowly vanishes
