Day to Day Poem by Adriana Ellis

Day to Day, you wait
Waiting for someone to give a damn.
Day to day, you wait
Waiting to be loved again.
Day to day, you wait
Waiting for someone good to happen.
Day to day, you wait
until you don't feel like waiting another day.
Day to day, you stare
Staring at the knife in the kitchen
Day to day, you stare
staring at your wrist
Day to day you stare
staring at the ceiling
Day to day, Day to day, Day to day, day to day.
Day to day you bleed
Day to day you hang
Day to day your dead
Day to day
no one cared.
