Dawn Poem by Jade Harmony

Dawn

I float to the ocean floor
I couldn't take this anymore.
Can't hold us together-
Guess this wasn't forever.
The bubbles fly toward the sun,
I know no one will come.
I let my body sink, down, down.
Just waiting for my soul to drown.
Will you hear of my last act?

How did it come to this?
How long have I been sinking into this abyss?
It's so dark down here...
With all light gone, death is near.
I'm sorry I couldn't stay-
i didn't want to hurt you in any way.
You'd be better off if I was gone.
It will be over before dawn.

Now I'm slipping into darkness
But I couldn't care less.
Water fills everthing.
Wonderfully trampling-
My last fears.
Washing away frightened tears.
I can't help but feel scared,
You thought I wouldn't have dared-
But now it's going to stop.

It
Will
All
Be
Over
Before
Dawn
