Darkness Poem by Christopher Tye

Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Darkness

Darkness shrouding everything and driving the light away,
At war with foes that can't be defeated,
Raveness' shielding me from the light and the good,
Kingdoms of sorrow ruling my heart,
Nightmares plaguing my sleep,
Eternally damned to live with-out joy and happiness,
Surviving with-out purpose in this life,
Shadows and sorrowful symphonies engulfing my life.

Darkness kills the will, but also can ignite the heart to seek light. The dark will push us towards the sun. A wonderful acrostic. Enjoyed.
