Dark Poetry Poem by John Demon Jones

Dark Poetry

Turn off the light.
Grab the feathered pen.
Fight off your fright
Close your eyes, count to ten.
Think of a line.
Place the pen to the paper.
Let the ink run fine.
Let the words become darker.
Let the writings let out your unchecked emotion.
And carve out the words with all your devotion.
Add illustration around the rim.
A line or two, then three, then four.
And begin the poem in light so dim.
And soon write down your darkened score.
