Dark Forest Poem by Alicia Meyers

Dark Forest

Dark and cold,
Through the misty night,
You're all alone,
And has a bunch of fright.
You hear the wolves howl,
And the sticks that are cracking,
The 'hoo's' of owls,
And you see the trees that are lacking.
You feel like someone is following you,
But when you turn around no one is there,
So you have no clue,
If someone is sitting and starts to stare.
The moonlight,
Is all you've got,
Through this night,
You might be shot.
You hear whispers and it's scary,
You hear something behind you,
And you think it's creepy,
But you have no clue.
Through the mist and the darkness,
You see nothing but trees,
You think this is a big forest,
And you need to be free.
But then you hear your name,
You turn around and there's nothing,
Oh it's a shame,
Because there is something.
You look to your side,
And there's a figure of a man,
You try to hide,
But you can't so you run as fast as you can.
But then he gets you,
And puts you in his cave,
You have no clue,
That you're about to be his slave.
