Dark Angel Poem by Kelli D. Williams

Dark Angel

I float up high
In the sky
Smirking at the people below
They don't even notice me
As they quickly go
The sky gets dark
As I plan my revenge
A plan that would make even the bravest man cringe
The wind blows with rage
And the people start to scream
I start to wonder
If it's just a dream
But the rush of it all
Feels to real
The lights disappear
As I draw near
Closing in for the kill
All their mouths drop
They look in surprise
At the girl up above
With the evil eyes
I laugh
As they beg and plead
And that gives me the strength I need
To finish my deed
I call on the spirits
That dwell below
To rise from the ground
And gather around
I sit on the side
Watching it all
I watch as the earth starts to crumble and fall
My eyes start a fire
That blazes bright
As the world is engulfed by the night!
