Dandelion Poem by Dyhanara Rios

Dandelion

There’s some dandelions down the street,
And they fly away almost as if in retreat.
Where will their journey take them today?

I held a dandelion in my hand;
A piece of cotton picked out of the land.
What more is there to say?

Wait until the wind blows;
Take a breath and there it goes,
Fading away like yesterday.
