Dance With Me Poem by Ibn Ali

Dance With Me

Dance with me,
We don't need music for this artistry,
Lay your head on my chest,
As I steal your palm in mine,
We both sway like lazy branches,
Pausing for pirouettes,
As we two convoluted,
Perfectly synchronised,
Moving just enough to not stay still,
Heels drag and scrape,
Too scared to leave the ground,
In fear I'll take a step away,
Perchance that I'll awake,
And so we shuffle,
As you tire, you sink into my arms,
I love this,
I wish you'd fall in deeper,
Consumed in my embrace,
Forever starts today.
