Dance Poem by Jessi Hardison

Dance

Dance, that's all you do.
When I can reach you, you flitter away.
You are evermost graceful
While plotting to get your way.

You don't give a second thought
To what I want.
You're two steps ahead
thinking of a new way to taunt.

Fine, have it
For I am done.
I've fought enough
So this is it, you've won.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sometimes it is easier to let others have their way. You just have to sit back and hope they learn from their mistakes.
