Daddy Poem by Nicola Haines

Daddy

Daddy when I was little
You could take away my pain
You would put a plaster on it
And it would be right as rain.
So daddy wont you please
Put a plaster on my heart
To take away this hurt
Its tearing me apart
Daddy please help me
I’m still your little girl
You used to take my pain
From the scary mixed up world!
Daddy I’m growing up
But this pain is getting worse
Please help me daddy
Please take away this curse!
