Curtain Of Illusion Poem by Rae Seagull

Curtain Of Illusion

Rating: 5.0

It's strange how I feel
A closeness and a distance
At the same time
The closeness I treasure
The distance I wish didn't exist
But who am I to question the will of God
He brought me onto this Earth
For a purpose
A purpose that I have tried to fulfil
To the best of my ability
I do hope that when I lay myself down to rest
Tired and hungry
You will be there to receive me in your arms
And carry me to the other side
Of this curtain of illusion
And that we will always be together thereafter
