Oh, it's fun to be a curmudgeon, a crab, an imperious ass; an old fart, buffoon, an eccentric loon, laying blame on all who pass. But do you have, at all, the slightest clue what these gentlemen, in truth, truly do? They are bleeding inside to change the world, to open closed minds and loosen tight screws. For they've learned some things of wisdom and wandered some of its paths it’s been drilled in to their knobby old heads by life's catastrophic blows. So excuse them if they don't care what you feel, or give a thumb what you think, for, really, their hearts melt to learn you a thing, and if that’s what it takes, they’ll go to the brink with words quite harsh and ugly, and shouts and guffaws at your expense. But if you understand quite rightly, your own heart will grow, like theirs, immense. So don’t take an old man’s railings to mean any more than they mean. And don’t take life’s injudicious wrongs as anything more than a chance to get free.
