Cup Of Coca Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Cup Of Coca

Rating: 5.0

Such a gentle kiss
lips barely touching lips
such tenderness

releasing such
violence

we rip off each other’s
clothes

tumble on to the bed
fall onto the floor

all legs
akimbo

now on top of the table top
writhing in a frenzy

what’s happening to us
(it’s kinda scary)

totally
out of control

stumble out into
the back garden

wrestling now
in mud

wondering where all this
will end.

Laughter
stops us in our tracks

we look like a 60’s
hippie couple

all peace & mud
free love.

We shower
come clean
(with each other)

half afraid to kiss
in case...

We have coca
instead.
