Crippled Love Poem by MONCIANA EDMONDSON

Crippled Love

A love life that's crippled, lame
No longer do I wish to play this game
Way too old for his mess
Not jumping through hoops to pass his test
I wanted some of his time
Did I commit a cosmic crime?
No need to lie and be sly
I have yet to meet a man that will comply
You want me? Then show me
Let go, be free and feel me
Be with me
I don't want your hand in marriage
And there are no plans for a baby carriage
Permit this love to grow, flow
Lets enjoy the bliss of our after-glow

very touching and heart felt lines.... a degree of despondence and helplessness flows as a strong current.... whisking the reader off his feat the emotive aspect is so common place, yet tackled well i particularly liked the usage of after glow... gives it such a warm and meaningful presence...also goes well with the usage of cosmic. nice job
