Covid-Life Anniversary! Poem by Peter Vealey

Covid-Life Anniversary!

Every day is much the same.
Very little change.
Worrying too much about,
Something to worry about.
Covid-life.
Not meant to live like,
This.
Love, warmth, devotion.
Life in the slow lane,
For all.
Distraction is God.
And the way out,
Of this.
Unholy situ,
We are meant to look,
After each other.
Not cower away.
Trust has gone out the
Door!
Covid-blues.
Worse still for the young,
To have this happen,
At all!
So little joy, peace, and variety.
In the world.
Distraction the only place to go.
Away from the oppressive, chilled,
World of Covid-sadness.
