Countryside Poem by Claire Galpin

Countryside

The countryside is quiet,
The countryside is fun,
The countryside is lonely,
Beautiful, fresh and clean,
Everything full of beans.

I like to see the countryside,
The trees wave to and fro,
The blackbirds fly here,
The swallows there
The squirrels collect their nuts.

Deer’s all dawdling about,
The badgers come out at night,
I’d feed the animals every day,
And select all chestnuts,
For every squirrel in the hut.
