Constant Waiting Poem by Sasanka Sekhar Panda

Constant Waiting

Rating: 5.0

Life was tasted
like honey in love
eyes were filled
with passion deep.

Grasping your
tender arms tightly
I enjoyed your
smiling lips,
every loving moment
became spring.

Your pearl-like
lustrous eyes
shimmered with
heavenly hues,
your country smile
scattered the
divine dews.

Now, you dwell across
all time and space.
Now you are not beside me,
knowing that very well,
still sitting
in the beach sand
I constantly gaze
with vacant eyes
at the thundering waves
coming, touching the shore
and going back again and again.
I am staring at the sea
for centuries,
with the faint hope that
one day you will definitely
come back to me,
making my life serene.
