Conservative Leadership Battle 2022 Poem by Andrew Wilson

Conservative Leadership Battle 2022

Boris Johnson is on his way
Theresa May, she had her day

Corbyn the commy, he couldn't be trusted, the sneer on Keir Starmer, he probably is busted

The politicians all corrupt
Self interests at heart
Not one amongst them truly playing their part.

Just look at the past and what do we learn

A yearning for justice each turn by turn
Heath and Wilson, both befuddled their way through, we saw the impact on the likes of me and you, then Neil Kinnock and the Thatcher years, the results, were they positive - no they left us in tears!

Honest John Major, he promised to get back to basics, while looking shifty but truly we'd be better of if the PM were Dominic Frisby

Then Blair and all of his bullshit, it went on forever, but the truth will out, and he's not that clever and fell on his sword, but still he some how got his reward. Gordon Brown, in on a promise, an easy pension and such, another who really didn't achieve very much

So now we await for the battle to ensue
A list of opportunists trying to wheedle their way through. Whoever wins this battle, will fail us all again, it may be fate, it may be zen, but, mark my words will happen all over again.

Sack the lot of them I say, start a new approach, or better still, follow my recommendation, f**k off to Rousay and buy yourself a boat.
