At last, the day has come at IRT -
A special day in IRT's history;
A happy day at Head-office's campus;
A day that makes all hearts here, leap with joy;
A day when employees here feel so proud;
A day that's etched in gold in calendar;
A day memorable to all workers;
A day unforgettable, glittering;
A day when labor sheer has paid off well;
A day, a dream has come true, though delayed -
Inauguration of new office building:
HOUSE-WARMING DAY AGAIN AT IRT, TARAMANI, CHENNAI!

The old building is pretty old by age;
Perhaps the first in Taramani road;
Now dwarfed by many high-rising new buildings;
It had well served its purpose for decades;
It now looks like a heritage structure;
It saw a lot of directors in power;
It stood the tests of time for many years;
It brought the name and fame to IRT.

THE NEWER BUILDING LOOKS SO GLORIOUS:
The work of many hands in harmony;
An engineering feat by engineers;
An achievement despite its many odds;
A structure matching those that stand near-by;
A beauty simple, incomparable;
A long-felt need become reality;
A milestone marking mega-step by all!

Thanks to all those who made the dream come true;
Thanks to all those who toiled through thick and thin;
Thanks to those hearts who gave the finance big;
Thanks to the bureaucrats who saw the need;
Thanks to efforts by every engineer;
Thanks to officials who speeded things;
Thanks to all construction-workers who toiled;
Thanks to the Almighty for this grand Day!
