Confronted With A Broken Snail Poem by RIC BASTASA

Confronted With A Broken Snail

finally here i am
confronted with a broken shell
the labyrinths inside its body
all exposed

having seen it
i don't think that its mystery shall amaze me
any longer

finally here i am
puzzled about the sting of certainties

my face is quizzical
my arms lose freely falling to the ground
