Concealed-Revealed Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Concealed-Revealed

Behold what long our God concealed
Behold The Crimson Flow
Consider secrets Christ revealed
Two thousand years ago

Though sickness plagues the human race
Though death a while walks tall
Sinners may see God’s smiling face
When Jesus’ name we call

Though shadows cloud the troubled mind
And darkness taunts the soul
God’s awesome Light can heal the blind
To see man’s crucial goal

Heaven and all that’s promised there
With streets of purest gold
Eternal life for all to share
Just as our Saviour told

The eyes of Jesus’ chosen wife
By grace and Heaven’s will
May see by faith The Tree Of Life
Revealed on Calvary Hill

We may but need to think a while
Spare Christ a moment’s thought
Turn from the things which God revile
And heed The Truth’s report

Let wisdom don its rightful crown
Let knowledge sing its song
Till ignorant walls tumble down
Amidst the maddening throng

Let’s live by faith and not by sight
Let’s live as Heaven planned
Let’s live to God a great delight
Toward His Promised Land
