Common Sense Poem by Romeo Della Valle

Common Sense

Rating: 5.0

Too far pushed away,
For my love to reclaim yesterday,
I was free to believe,
To open petals to the sunshine!
Now the bud is broken
And the leaves have withered!

Here I am, just a stem, the game:
“She loves me” “She loves me not”
This game has left me unfeeling,
Afraid, uprooted and estranged!
But perhaps, I am sad
And should not be alone!

All this time I hoped
But you provoked me
To leave without believing
And you became a total stranger!
Now, I am hurt too
But where can I go?
Roads divided,
Dreams collided,
Unhappy compromised
While anger takes over!
Trust and hope, UN-repairable,
Are now buried forever!

Very emotional, revealing and honest. This reminds me of a purging done. A cleansing of sorts that has taken place. Interesting is this writing.
