Lord grace Your word to crush and break
To heal and make us whole
Forgive our folly help us make
Commitments for our soul

Commitments through Your Christ and Son
In spirit truth and light
Until life’s war is finally won
Commit us to the fight

Commit to stand on Christ and wait
Lose selfishness and pride
To love You Lord yet always hate
Darkness that would inside

Commit us to the work at hand
To service of the few
With wisdom, give to understand
Mysteries that pursue

Commit to check life’s every door
To pray and seek your face
To live by faith salvation sure
Growing in love and grace

Till Heaven’s will on earth is done
Till victory’s in Your hand
Commit us fight the evil one
And help the weak to stand

You’ve given power faith and trust
Your guarantee and love
Your promise ere we turn to dust
We’ll rise through Christ above

So others too may come alive
Commit in truth to grow
Commit Your servants always thrive
Within Your mighty flow
