As crashing freezing waves roll over me
I know my dreams I will never live to see
If only things could have been so different
Because to me you were heaven sent
You really love others this I do know
And hateful things at me you did keep throw
They hurt yet whatever that came my way
I took as I wanted the friendship to stay
For the pain I silently bore was so deep
I painfully persevered so you I could keep
I long to turn the pages of my mind to a dream
So the reality is not as bad as it now seem
Maybe If I could have helped the right way
You would have found a sliver of reason to stay
If maybe our dreams had just been slightly the same
You happily follow yours without me left in pain
If I’d not stayed silent but right words spoken
Then my life wouldn’t be over simply broken
I give all my life for those I simply love
Always I’m rejected as I’m never good enough
You turn me away but you never promised to stay
I loved but only asked to be friends that way
I know your love care I will never now see
So now I give in as the cold waves crash over me
