Coffee With My Mother

Going for a coffee
With my dear mother
A pastime I enjoy

I’m looking forward to it
To a sumptuous hot chocolate
At Peacock’s Coffee Lounge

Sitting drinking chocolate
With cream on the top
This’ll be a treat

So, alas, I must go
To town for some coffee
With my dear mother

poet William Wordsworth

I

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
