Clueless Impel Poem by Trevor Schulte

Clueless Impel

I walk my path
with no clue where to go
holding up others' walk
with a pace so slow
I know not where I'm heading
or what impact I'll bring
but I keep steadfast in my walk
as the Lord's song I sing
Passing by others
who have it figured out
while I thirst
in my reason's drought
I have no map
only a destination
I have His wants
forming my foundation
Luxary passes by
as sacrafice is taken
and I keep wondering
'was I mistaken?
Is my passion
of reasonable concern
or is my ambitons led
only by what I earn? '
If only my heart could cure
my thoughts that are obscure
then my true intentions
would become more secure
So I walk this road
with His light leading the way
as my old intentions
begin to fray
It took all I am
to be Godly-impelled
but its an allegiance
that'll forever be held
